About the Founder

Heidi has worked in education since 2007. She holds a bachelors in middle childhood/ early adolescence education and a masters in Dyslexia and Literacy. She is a Certified Academic Language Practitioner and trained in many Orton-Gillingham based phonics programs. She has written curriculum for multiple school districts.

During her 14 years in education, she has worked as a classroom teacher, tutor, and private homeschool teacher all over the United States (6 states!), and has volunteered as a teacher in Kenya. She has worked with public, private, and charter schools and students from pre-K to seniors in high school.

She has a deep passion for all learners to succeed and enjoy learning no matter where they live, what their socioeconomic backgrounds are, and despite their learning differences and challenges.
